"Pokemon Go" players are looking for the best way to grab the medium-sized fish Pokemon, Magikarps. A number of gamers have spotted the shiny Magikarps during the game's Water Festival event. Aside from the reddish-orange scales Pokemon, several rare Pokemon will also appear during the week-long "Pokemon Go" event.

The "Pokemon Go" Water Festival event bumped up the spawns for the water-type creature, according to a Forbes. These Pokemons are spawning near bodies of water. Players are treated with the frequent appearance of Lapras, Dratini, and Dragonite on the map.

Lapras is one of the rarest Pokemon in the location-based augmented reality game, most "Pokemon Go" gamers can grab one from a rare 10km egg. Although the large sea creature might still be difficult to find in the "Pokemon Go" Water Festival event, but chances of the Pokemon to appear are higher throughout the week.

On the other hand, the experts at The Silph Road fortunately compiled some details about the shiny Pokemon. The Shiny Pokémon can be very hard to find as the creature doesn't appear in the Nearby screen. In order to catch a shiny Pokémon, "Pokemon Go" players must seek out Pokemon spawns with shiny variants. Increases and Lures will also improve a player's odds of finding a shiny Pokemon. If a gamer has a Pokemon Go Plus, the player can catch a shiny creature by using the device.

In spite of that, the shiny Magikarp is a collector's item and when the creature evolves into Gyarados, the shiny Magikarp retains its unique color. The Gyarados is a creature that figured heavily into the storyline of the second installment of the Pokemon series, Polygon reported.

That being said, as the latest "Pokemon Go" event ends on March 29, players must get the shiny Magikarps while the creatures are still out on the shore.
