Sony fans who are also budget-concern users will be able to opt for affordable Xperia soon.

According to reports, the Xperia L1 will come with Android Nougat pre-installed. The 5.5-inch handset will be powered by quad core processor, MediaTek MT6737T.

Xperia L1 optics will get a 13 MP sensor for the rear camera and 5 MP for the front-facing shooter. The battery will reportedly pack 2,620 mAh capacity with other components include USB type C port, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256 GB.

The impending smartphone is said to support 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. Sony didn't unveil the price but the announcement is made clear that Xperia L1 will be an affordable device launched in late April, PC Advisor noted.

Judging from the specs, the affordable Xperia L1 has a lot in commons with Moto G5. Lenovo's mid-range flagship offers 2,800 mAh battery with a Snapdragon 430 chipset under its hood, according to The Verge. The Plus model is one of the fastest-selling phones in India.

The first impression of Moto G5 is that premium feel from its sleek aluminum chassis. Once Xperia L1 is released, there will be a global competition as Sony plans to launch the handset in US, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and Middle East.

Both, Moto G5 and Xperia L1 are affordable yet packing decent features. The handsets will also deliver pure Android experience that makes it even harder to choose between the two.

However, one thing that tech crowds can be sure of Sony Xperia L1, is the impressive camera quality. Xperia series has been popularly known as the camera phone and the L1 is likely to have a reliable optics quality.

Sony is set to unveil Xperia L1 at a later date in April.
