Microsoft has once again surprised tech enthusiasts when the successor of the Surface Book, dubbed as the Microsoft Surface Book 2, is about to be launched and has reportedly kicked off mass production. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is expected to roll out by the end of March or in April.

Recently surfaced reports claim that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 has started mass production and the device is expected to start its shipment before March ends or in April. Nonetheless, the Redmond, Washington based tech titan is said to be ditching the traditional 2-in-1 design, according to DigiTimes. Wherein, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be available as a traditional laptop.

The tech giant shipped about 500,000 Surface Book devices last year. Nevertheless, Microsoft is expected to ship 1.2 to 1.5 million units of Surface Book 2 this year. As for the Microsoft Surface Pro, shipment could probably boost by 20 percent in 2017.

Meanwhile, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is highly anticipated to feature a Magnesium Aluminum alloy chassis along with a 13.5-inch display. The upcoming Microsoft device is said to come with a 3,000x2,000 resolution and will pack an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 GPU. Although the new Surface Book model may have the same size screen like its predecessor, but the upcoming device offers a more conventional 4K resolution.

In terms of the Microsoft Surface Book 2 price, the laptop is expected to have a price tag around $1,000, NSEA Voice reported. The Surface Book 2 is speculated to come along with features lower than the original Surface Book, which is available with iCore 5 coupled with a 128GB and is around $1299. In spite of that, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be more affordable compared to other devices, such as Apple's MacBook Pro.By the time the new Microsoft Surface Book 2 will hit the market, the device could definitely excite many tech fans across the globe.
