Mid-range phones are known for sporting average features and specs but such is not a case for Xiaomi Mi 4A. The smartphone manufactured by Apple of the East has reportedly scraped off common discriminations people had in mind for mid-range phones.

Xiaomi Mi 4A Killer Specs and Features

Xiaomi Mi 4A is the latest offering of the Chinese manufacturing firm Xiaomi or tagged as "Apple of the East". The device is a classified as mid-range smartphone however, reports claimed that the phone is more than what its category offers.

To start with, Xiaomi Mi 4A's built is a head-turner most especially its polycarbonate body design available in three colors: Gold, Rose Gold and Dark Grey. The device which measures 139.5 x 70.4 x 8.5mm and weighs 131.5 grams is a host to a hybrid dual SIM card slot, Gadgets NDTV reported.

Furthermore, Xiaomi Mi 4A sports a killer 5-inch HD display with screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and runs MIUI 8 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow mobile operating system. Under the hood is the 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC with built-in Adreno 208 GPU along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 128GB via micro SD.   

When it comes to connectivity, Xiaomi Mi 4A sports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, GPS and Bluetooth v4.1. Other functionalities include ambient light, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and infrared. The device also sports a 13MP rear camera and 5MP selfie snapper.

Xiaomi Mi 4A Released in India

Aside from China and the Philippines, India is also considered as one of the emerging markets for smartphones. For this reason, the company has conducted a special launching day of Xiaomi Mi 4A in the said country which can be bought at the price of Rs 5,999, according to Indian Express.

The competition is reportedly tough in India because of the presence of other major manufacturers such as Apple. However, with Xiaomi Mi 4A, Xiaomi has stood up to their promise to deliver budget phones with great specifications and has the capability to take on competition.
