Google has been teasing the arrival of the Pixel 2 phone and its positive build up is becoming more evident as time passes by. One recent revelation states that the next Pixel phone will come up under the codename of "Taimen" which, in turn, equates to a phone of a larger size. However, not everyone is excited about the Google Pixel 2.

A tech editor has had not so good experiences with his past Nexus phones prompting him to address Pixel 2 aficionados on why it is better to reconsider buying the phone. According to Dan Graziano of CNET, he had a good relationship with Google Nexus phones. However, when Google ended the Nexus lifeline things started to change and the loyal user became a doubter.

Graziano has been happy with Google phones because of its unskinned design and basically by receiving the most recent android updates available, an advantage for Pixel 2. His first hands on Google phone was the Nexus 5 and like the most relationship it started good and smooth until it suddenly got rebooted and started refusing to power on. He tried to revive his Nexus 5 using the bootloop but ended up with no proper answer.

Later on, he found out that he was not the only one who experienced the same glitch. In the end, he contacted Google about it but the issue was dismissed since his Nexus 5 was already expired of warranty. Moving on, he got his second Google phone, the Nexus 6P after skipping the Nexus 6 due to its larger size.

His Nexus 6P had the same fate as his Nexus 5. This time, he was able to identify that the problem is caused by the software update Android 7.1.1. Graziano faced the same experience with bootloop and no one seemed to take responsibility of the glitches. Thus, the same fate could happen again when you avail Pixel 2.

True enough, Google Pixel 2 could be the best larger phone to launch this year, Forbes noted. However, considering this story, it is worth asking if Pixel 2 worth it with its disappointing service assistance?
