The latest reports hint at the imminent launch of Pixel C successor that's been wrongly speculated as Google Nexus 7 2017 so far.

Is 'Taimen' the codename for Google Nexus 7, or Pixel C successor?

Google Nexus 7 2017 has been drawing attention lately with the new reports suggesting the powerful machine will be equipped with impressive hardware. The official name hasn't been confirmed yet but fans speculate 'Taimen' as the codename for the upcoming Google Nexus 7 2017. It is highly plausible, especially when the crowds justify it by the rumors and leaks they've heard.

'Taimen' was initially reported as the codename for Pixel 2 largest model but the latest piece of story seems to suggest that it could be the Nexus 7 2017. What's more interesting is to learn that evidence hints at the Snapdragon 835 chipset equipping the device.

Qualcomm's latest processor is said to be a powerful chip capable of supporting Windows 10 PCs or hybrid devices, PC World claimed. Based on the chipset's impressive capabilities, this should be an indication that Google Nexus 7 (or Taimen) might come out as the rumored desktop-class tablet.

Google Nexus 7 (2017) is A Pixel C Successor?

If the Nexus 7 becomes a PC-like tablet, it is safe to assume that it will be replacing the Pixel C. Pixel C is a hybrid device packing a great punch with Android Marshmallow running under its 10.2-inch display but it hasn't been updated for awhile, CNET reported.

And based on another Nexus 7 leak that suggests Andromeda as the operating system, the tablet could likely be a Pixel C successor a merged OS means a universal platform that will boost multitasking performance. Thus, it makes more sense to see a powerful Pixel C-like tablet running Andromeda OS instead of a Nexus brand revival with Android-based operating system.

Google is expected to release Pixel 2 variants in Q3 2017 and it is exciting to find out whether the Google Nexus 7 tablet is indeed a Pixel device that the company is currently working on.
