Sony has already come out with four new smartphone offerings for 2017 but it seems there is more to come. One handset that has crashed the Sony Xperia X party is the seemingly forgotten Sony Xperia L1. With the focus on the high-end devices by the company, this is one phone tailored for the mid-range market.

The Sony Xperia L1 is expected to succeed the Sony Xperia L. For those who may be unfamiliar with it, this mid-range device was best known sporting a 4.3-inch screen display, a LED notification strip and sporting a curved back, Phone Arena reported. The actual specs that the Sony Xperia L1 will bring remain sketchy for now though some of those standout features are likely to be still around with some improvements.

The Sony Xperia L1 was spotted in the database of Rosakkreditatatsiya, something that looms as a long-overdue upgrade for its predecessor that came out in March 2013. Aside from the aforementioned features of the Sony Xperia L, other notable specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, an 8 MP main camera, 0.3 MP front-facing shooter and a 1,750 mAh battery, according to MobilTelefon.

The past three years has brought in plenty of modifications so the initial specs of the Sony Xperia L are expected to be bumped up a bit. The best bet is to look at the specs of mid-range devices out in the market right now with the device expected to continue as a budget-friendly device for the consumer market.

Once officially out, it could be a wise buy for the ones looking at an entry-level or secondary phone to use. There is anticipated release date for now, same with the suggested retail price for the Sony Xperia L1. The same case holds true on what Android OS will be used.
