Recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has been targeting the Energizer Xbox One 2X Smart chargers. As several Xbox One owners raised their complaints against the chargers for overheating, a recall of the particular product has been announced.

Performance Designed Products is recalling over 130,000 Energizer Xbox One 2X Smart Chargers for the reason that the device can overheat, damage the controller and could even cause injury, according to Boston CBS. The recall entails consumers of Xbox One controller chargers to immediately stop utilizing the chargers and contact the charger manufacturer. The recall was triggered when several complaints were raised against chargers for overheating.

In the U.S. alone, approximately 121,000 units of Xbox One battery chargers were reported to be affected. Also, an estimated 7,250 defective units were found in Canada and 2,560 defective units in Mexico. With the increasing complaints, the Safety Commission steps in and claimed that the faulty chargers could cause numerous hazards to consumers.

In a related Xbox One news, game enthusiasts are still clamoring for a number of video games to be included in the Xbox One's backward compatibility program, specifically the first-person shooter game, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2." There are 210,000 votes in favor of bringing the Black Ops 2 in Xbox One's Backwards Compatibility library. Now, Xbox One's backward compatibility program head, Bill Stillwell, has pitched in a statement on the state of the program. Stillwell confirmed that there are no games released in the backward compatibility today, but Stillwell teased that the week isn't over, Game Zone reported.

Furthermore, the "Street Fighter IV" has been added in the list of the Xbox One backwards compatibility. Nonetheless, some game fans were disappointed as the added game is only the vanilla version of the fighting video game, and do not come along with the newest updates, Yahoo Esports has learned.
