The AMD technology summit in Beijing a few days ago revealed some new leaked pictures of the new AMD Radeon RX Vega indicating a "soul," "brain," and "almost," which could refer to its imminent arrival. A product launch video has been shown to the Chinese which may go live for the general public next week to unveil a slick reference design and packaging fit for the high-end market.

Chiphell via twitter leaked some photos of the AMD Radeon RX Vega to reveal a reference design using black and white, but an updated photo reveals it is actually a silver brushed metallic design. It bears the red Vega logo on the backplate complete with several stripe-shaped perforations and at its side is the LED illuminated Radeon logo with what appears to look like a BIOS switch just above it. The second one reveals some power connectors with word GPU Tach just above it, which pertains to a LED load indicator also seen in Fury X. A new "R" logo is at the bottom right corner and also on the backplate a Radeon RX Vega logo and a black dip switch to alter the color of the GPU Tach indicator, Videocardz reported.

AMD just newly announced the AMD Radeon RX Vega Limited Edition, which could only be available for reviewers. The new GPU will not be featured in the newly-announced AMD ryzen 5 processors as expected by some especially for the high-tier, but in its stead is a rebranded Polaris GPUs, the RX 500 Series, PCGamesN reported. The Vega GPU will most likely debut in the flagship RX Vega graphics card with 64 Compute Units or equal to 4,096 stream processors. It is built on the 14nm FinFET technology by GlobalFoundries and will be with 8GB of HBM memory, most likely the HBM2 to be specific with 2,048-bit bus width, according to wccftech.

The reference to "soul" could either be a pun intended for NVIDIA with its use of "soulless" or could be referring to its use of LED lighting effect in the packaging ideal for the high-end market. The "brain" naturally refers its immense computing capabilities as Vega is expected to beat or at least match the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The "almost" means it will soon arrive as the recently leaked roadmap reveals that the AMD Radeon RX Vega is expected to arrive by the second half of the year.
