ZTE and OnePlus gadgets get the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update.

The Android 7.1.1 Nougat is the newest version of the famous Android operating system (OS). First revealed on March 9 last year, the first Nougat OS was officially launched on August 22. For the record, Nexus handsets were the first to receive the software upgrade.

ZTE: Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Android Police recently reported that the ZTE Axon 7 comes with the powerful Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The announcement took place a few days after the BQ Aquaris X5 arrived with the same OS. The Axon 7 is known for its 20MP rear camera and 5.5" screen among others.

ZTE further noted that the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update focuses on four major changes. These include new emojis, Daydream optimizations, security patches, and T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling support. However, the phone company has yet to confirm whether there would be launcher shortcuts or none.

For the record, owners of the Axon 7 in the United Sates could either wait for the Android 7.1.1 Nougat notification to pop up or check it manually. Per the same source, the patch may take quite a long time to arrive for all users. Thus, people are encouraged to be patient if they do not see it at the moment.

OnePlus: Android 7.1.1 Nougat

According to XDA Developers, the OnePlus 3 and 3T also thrive with the much-loved Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Interestingly, the company just released OxygenOS 4.1.0 to the said models too. Thus, the OnePlus 3 and 3T owner are really in for a treat.

The various changes made to the OnePlus phones include the Android 7.1.1 Nougat patch and an upgraded Google security. Moreover, an improved Wi-Fi connectivity and a better Bluetooth are showcased as well. Lastly, the mobile maker added expanded screenshots and an upgraded camera that can capture moving objects with less blur.

Just like any update, though, the Android 7.1.1 Nougat will roll out to OnePlus users in batches. Similar to the situation of ZTE fans, the upgrade may take pretty much longer time than expected. Nevertheless, it is still better than to have nothing to wait for at all.
