The recent reports about running Windows XP in iPhone 7 and jailbroken Nintendo Switch have reportedly shed light to the possibility of having an iOS 10.2 jailbreak tool. It seems like hackers will never cease to look for other means to break the walled garden built by Apple for iOS devices.

Windows XP Runs in iPhone 7 Without Using Jailbreak Tool

An unknown hacker has made fun out of his iPhone 7 in which he runs a Windows XP to do some other iPhone stuff. According to Gizmodo, the hacker has uploaded the video tutorial in YouTube where it shows pulling out a Windows OS through Xcode and an emulator but users need to have technical knowledge on C or C++ programming language because it requires screwing out the code.

Nintendo Switch Jailbreak

Another hackers with Twitter handles @liveoverflow and @qwertyoruiopz have posted their respective videos on jailbreaking the Nintendo Switch. According to The Verge, the hackers have taken advantage the vulnerability of an unpatched WebKit, the active portals that everyone see when trying to log in an establishment's Wi-Fi.

The hackers have reportedly found a loophole in the outdated version of WebKit which was previously patched by Apple for iOS 9.3. The recent Nintendo Switch jailbreak attempt is reportedly considered as the first step towards converting the console into an Android gaming tablet where various games could be installed.

iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Tool Updates

While the Chinese group of hackers Pangu maintains their silence, the Italian notorious hacker Luca Todesco has reportedly given up to the possibility of having a stable iOS 10.2 jailbreak too after his Yalu app tremendously failed. Although Pangu's silence still gives hope to the jailbreaking community, the upcoming iOS 10.3 has impressive security features which make it difficult for the hackers to go through the modified APFS system.

If Apple wins in this uphill battle with the hackers, iPhones and iPads users should start using their devices according to the Cupertino giant's conditions. Meanwhile, others are still hopeful that Pangu and Luca Todesco could come up with an effective iOS 10.2 jailbreak tool.
