Despite Microsoft already launched a high-performance Microsoft Surface Book laptop, dubbed as the Surface Book i7, tech fans are still waiting impatiently with Microsoft Surface Book 2's release date update. Newly surfaced reports are claiming that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Book 2 may come out in June 2017.

If the latest reports are any indication, the tech giant's Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 discounts suggest that Microsoft is looking to clear its inventory to pave way for its new models. There are also rumors that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 could roll out in March 2017, Tech Radar reported. Nonetheless, that seems unlikely, as the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is expected to feature the latest Windows 10 Creators Update, which is slated to be launched in April. This means that the tech titan will likely need a little bit more time to enhance the latest version of its operating system, which Microsoft likely wants to incorporate the OS in the next-gen hybrid laptop.

Despite the lack of any substantial Surface Book 2 reports, some speculations regarding the possible specs and features of the upcoming high-performance laptop computer are mounting up on the internet. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is speculated to be powered by Intel's next generation Kaby Lake chip, which has incredible power compared to Microsoft Surface Book i7's Skylake chip, according to Droid Report. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is also expected to come along with a 4K display resolution option, as well as a full VR capabilities.

Furthermore, the upcoming Microsoft Surface Book 2 will likely sports a powerful graphics processing unit either from Nvidia or Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). Tech fans are also expecting a significant improvement in the Microsoft Surface Book 2 design. As for the Microsoft Surface Book 2 price, the device will most likely have a starting price of $1499.
