A beautiful new color for the OnePlus 3T has been unveiled to the public this week. The smartphone's availability, however, will likely not last.

OnePlus has joined forces with French clothing and accessory retailer, Colette, for the special OnePlus 3T Colette edition. The phone has a matte black finish, with the Colette logo engraved on its back to celebrate the brand's 20th anniversary. Check out the handset's appearance here.

The phone is equipped with 128 GB of internal storage and costs €479 ($514) like the Gunmetal model with the same storage capacity. The OnePlus 3T Colette's hardware is similar to that of the Gunmetal and Soft Gold models, which carry Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 6 GB of RAM, 16 MP rear and front-facing cameras. These two OnePlus 3T models were recently launched in Malaysia and India.

Bear in mind, however, that only 250 units of the OnePlus 3T Colette edition will be sold. Online purchase is not happening and to get one, customers should be in Paris, France -- specifically at the Colette store at 213 Rue Saint-Honore on March 21 at 11 AM. The store will sell the phones at a first come, first served basis, Android Central reported.

It was initially believed that a blue OnePlus 3T model was coming since the company's teaser tweet featured a blue Colette box. That turned out to be a misleading nugget of information, though, since the phone actually came with a matte black body.

The OnePlus 3T is a good mid-range smartphone. Like other new smartphones, the handset comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. Its 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display, meanwhile, delivers pleasant colors.

The OnePlus 3T, however, doesn't have waterproofing technology and microSD support. Other notable features are a 3,400 mAh battery (charged via USB Type-C and with support for Dash Charge) and the 3.5 mm headphone jack that some high-end smartphones have already removed.

Dash Charge is the phone's version of Qualcomm's Quick Charge. The feature provides 63 percent of a full charge in only 30 minutes of charging.

Dash Charge creates a bigger electrical current (5V/4A for 20W) instead of adding pressure, meaning the power that your phone receives is steady and more consistent. With that capability, the charging process is still fast even though you're using your phone for heavy tasks like playing games or watching videos.

The OnePlus 3T's battery doesn't exhibit heat build-up that's pretty common in phones with quick charging functionality. It's because the OnePlus 3T's charger shoulders all of the heat management instead of the phone.
