The Nokia 6 has somewhat taken a backseat with all the attention on the Nokia 3310. While both were made for different genres, most may have forgotten that this new device from HMD Global sold out like pancakes since silently debuting at the Mobile World Congress 2017.

One of the first regions to get the Nokia 6 was China. The reception was surreal and the device sold out quickly, Nokia Poweruser reported. Priced at roughly $217 based on the current exchange rates, it looms as a cost-friendly device that mid-range phone buyers will want to consider.

Scratch and Bend tests

Some may have come across the official specs of the Nokia 6 by now. But for the benefit of those who have forgotten, it features a 5.5-inch screen (1920x1080 pixel resolution) and amply protected by a Gorilla Glass 3. Some may have overlooked the purpose of the glass protection though a recent test showcased its scratch resistance and how it was hard to bend. All that can be seen in the videos below.

One thing most mobile phone users would be wary off are scratches. The Nokia 6 offers a scratch-resistant aluminum body. The rear camera and fingerprint sensor features are further spared from that as well thanks to a glass covering, Phone Arena reported.

Other Specs of the Nokia 6

With most of the aesthetics covered, other noteworthy features of the Nokia 6 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, 3 GB of RAM, a 16 MP main camera and 8 MP front-facing selfie camera, a 3,000 mAh battery and runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1. There is also a Black limited edition version which offers 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage version according to CNet.

Outside China, the Nokia 6 is expected to become avaiable in other countries for about $240. As of this writing, there is no official date of release for the standard and Arte Black variant.
