Germany now allows pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. Those who pre-purchase the tablet will get an added perk.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy Tab S3 will come with a free Book Cover keyboard, according to a translated announcement from Samsung Germany. The latter was unveiled alongside the tablet at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017.

The Wi-Fi-only tablet plus Book Cover keyboard will cost €679 ($723) until Thursday, March 23, with its LTE model retailing at €769 ($819). Both tablets are available in black or white-colored models and will be shipped on the following day, March 24.

It's possible that the tablet with a free Book Cover keyboard will be offered to other markets, too. Whenever that is, however, remains to be seen. The current Book Cover keyboard for the Galaxy Tab S2 costs $150.

The Galaxy Tab S3 is expected go toe-to-toe with Apple's iPad Pro. Both tablets have 9.7-inch displays, though the former has an AMOLED screen and the latter has an LCD screen. Samsung's device boasts a thin 6 mm body and the iPad Pro at 6.1 mm.

The Samsung tablet's design is pleasing to the eyes thanks to its edges' metal framing and glass rear. It comes with a home button and two capacitive navigation buttons on the bottom bezel. The tablet is also equipped with the S Pen stylus (a notable first in Samsung's tablets) to rival the iPad Pro's Apple Pencil.

The Galaxy Tab S3 has a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel snapper on the front. Apple's tablet, which also has a bigger 12.9-inch model, is equipped with a 12 MP primary camera and a 5 MP one for selfies.

According to Expert Reviews, the iPad Pro's camera is comparable to the one seen on the iPhone 5. It remains to be seen whether Samsung can top that or not.

The iPad Pro seems to best the Galaxy Tab S3 in terms of battery power. It runs using a 7,306 mAh battery, while Samsung's is at 6,000 mAh. The iPad Pro is powered by the company's A9X chip, while the Galaxy Tab S3 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.

As expected, Samsung's tablet is equipped with the Android 7.0 Nougat software, while Apple's device has the iOS 10. Both software offer lovely interfaces, but Android has been known for offering more customization options and a more unbridled experience. iOS, as per usual, is more strict.

The iPad Pro's 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch models start selling at $599 and $799, respectively. As you can see, those price points come into the range of the Galaxy Tab S3.
