Rockstar Games appears to focus on improving the content and features of the "Grand Theft Auto 5" rather than start working on the next "Grand Theft Auto" installment. Nonetheless, rumor has it that the development of "GTA 5" is paving the way for the upcoming "GTA 6."

As Rockstar Games appears to add more content and features to "GTA 5," the video game company's move is believed to be the groundwork for the blockbuster sequel, "GTA 6." Nonetheless, the game developer launches the Import/Export free expansion and new stunt races to GTA 5, according to Game Spot. Also, additional stunt races hinting at the Ruiner 2000, Blazer Aqua and Rocket Voltic vehicles are reportedly on the way.

Nevertheless, the "GTA 6" gameplay will likely have new vehicles as well as protagonists. Wherein, the Canadian actor Ryan Gosling has also been suggested for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto installment to lend his voice talent. In spite of that, the recently surfaced rumors suggest that Rockstar Games will finally bring a female protagonist to the "Grand Theft Auto 6," TNH Online reported.

As for the "GTA 6" release date, details remain under wrap. Considering "Grand Theft Auto 5's" success, which is still raking in millions in revenues to this today, the video game company is not rushing to unleash a sequel. Also, the number of years it takes for a new installment of the action-adventure game to be released is also worth considering.

After the game developer rolled out the "GTA 3," it took seven years for the company to release the "Grand Theft Auto IV." If the video game company intends to follow the same trend, fans of "Grand Theft Auto" will have to wait for another seven years before the next installment will be released. As of now, only three years have passed since the company unleashed the "GTA 5."
