"Destiny 2" is under fire of complaints due to the update allowing character customization update to be transferred over while power, Eververse-related items and currencies will be left behind. Hence, "Destiny" community cries foul over these changes claiming that they feel betrayed by the developer over the move.

According to IGN, Bungie has stepped forward to elaborate its announcement to discontinue the widening backlash. The game studio was represented by Bungie Community Manager David "DeeJ" Dague to address the complaints and give light to the growing issue.

When asked how he would respond those community members who felt like they were lied to when Bungie announced their Guardian would transfer to "Destiny 2," Deej clarified that the recent announcement talked about was a relationship with one's character. To elaborate, he mentioned his bonded relationship with his Warloc, an Exo with a "fondness for Dead Orbits" as an example.

Bungie wanted to preserve such relationship in the case of "Destiny 2. Deej added that these are all emotional pieces of context that he has assigned to Warloc and those are all things that will be relevant in all future versions of Destiny. Thus, while having his own favorite Exotic weapons, that story has changed a great deal over the course of the past three years.

Moreover, "Destiny 2" will continually bring new development in the game in order to amaze and keep the communities interest alive. In addition, Deej said that the developers intended their players to be surprised and challenged with evolving features than being constrained in upgrading their Gjallarhorn again and again and again for the next ten years.

According to WWG, Deej would address those that felt mislead and lied to by saying: Destiny's dream has always been a grand adventure that unfolds over the course of the next ten years... We want to give players new things to experience, like "Destiny 2."
