Google updates Android Gboard with GIF and emoji suggestions as users type their messages.

Apparently, the said feature has been active on Apple devices since the launch date of iOS Gboard. The Android version, meanwhile, also offers improved voice-to-text function, personalized keyboard backgrounds, and quick translation. These specs are already available in the iOS model for quite some time now but its rival is definitely catching up.

Android Gboard: GIFs, Emojis voice command

According to CNET, Android fans celebrated last Thursday as Gboard unveiled its new and amazing abilities. Some of these specs are the GIF and Emoji suggestions plus a very handy voice-to-text command. At the moment, the suggestion feature supports Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, Hangouts, and Allo platforms only.

Nevertheless, it is expected that Google will introduce the Gboard GIF and emoji suggestions to other messaging apps in the near future. Meanwhile, Android devices now accommodate voice typing capabilities with an upgraded user interface. The latter allows people to switch back to the regular typing mode in an easier manner.

Additionally, more keyboard themes have been installed to various Android gadgets. For one thing, they can be accessed through the Gboard settings. However, fans may also press the Theme icon in the quick features menu found in the suggestion strip for the new keyboard backgrounds.

Quick translation & right-to-left language support for Android Gboard

According to Gadgets 360, Gboard on Android now supports Google Translate. Users could access the new ability in the quick feature menu. As they type sentences, the translation tool will provide text interpretations in real time.

Lastly, Android phones now thrive with the Gboard right-to-left language support for search and share features. To illustrate, Arabic, Hebrew, and Farsi texts are written the other way around compared to normal typing. The update is already downloaded on Google Play.
