OnePlus Company has reportedly confirmed about skipping the number 4 in their smartphone series that leaves everyone waiting for OnePlus 5 that is set to be released later this year. OnePlus 5 is said to take on smartphone rivals this year with high-performing specs and groundbreaking features.

OnePlus 5 Specs and Features

Last year, OnePlus released OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T which led the company skipping off the number 4 in their flagship smartphone series. For this reason, OnePlus 5 is anticipated to hit the store shelves later this year showcasing high-performing specs and impeccable features.

To begin with, OnePlus 5 is expected run Oxygen OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with associated features such as new notification bundles and multi-tasking window. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor is said to fuel the device alongside 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for the based-model and another 128GB model that is expandable up to 256GB through a microSD card, The Indian Express reported.

Furthermore, OnePlus 5 camera specs are also expected to be spectacular with 16MP for the front and 23MP for the rear. The device is also said to be powered by a 4000 mAh battery pack which is presumed to utilize the "Doze" mode of Nougat and thus, extending the smartphone's life for a number of hours.

In addition, OnePlus 5 is also expected to sport a 5.5-inch Quad-HD AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels for the screen resolution, PC Advisor reported. The physical design of the phone also suggest a metal unibody that comes with a new color option "Dark" or "Black" variant.

The latest tweet from the credible tipster Evan Blass made everyone suspect about the existence of OnePlus 5. His tweet contains an image that says "Never Settle" with molten lava in the background which strongly suggest about new wallpaper for OnePlus 5 or a new limited edition of Black color variant for all OnePlus smartphones.
