The British automaker company McLaren, unveiled its 2018 McLaren 720S during the recently held Geneva Auto Show. The McLaren's latest supercar is equipped with a 710 HP twin turbocharged V8-mounted engine. The automaker company's rapid model development program for the 2018 McLaren 720S has been a real cause of concern for its rivals, such as Ferrari.

The rapid model development program of McLaren for the 2018 McLaren 720S has been causing concerns for its competitors, according to Car and Driver. During the show, the 2018 McLaren 720S boasts a more advanced carbon fiber composite tub compared to its predecessor, the McLaren 650S. The 2018 McLaren 720S was launched as the second-gen Super Series car, and the supercar will be followed by a Spider as well as a quicker LT version.

The 2018 McLaren 720S is the company's first car to utilize its new Monocage II carbon fiber tub. Mclaren's latest supercar has an integrated carbon A-pillars and a carbon windshield header. The vehicle also has a central roof spar that has a mounting points for the new, wider opening doors, buttresses and a B-pillar hoop.

Furthermore, the McLaren 720S has a full-width rear wing that can act as the supercar's airbrake and can be utilized to maximize down force or even minimize drag. As the aerodynamics efficiency of the McLaren 720S is more than twice as McLaren 650S, the latest McLaren car is sure to be a demon in the track. Also, the McLaren 720S has a Proactive Chassis Control system that will control its shiny side up, nonetheless, this feature can loose a bit for a couple of drift action, Motor Trend reported.

That being said, the McLaren 720S will hit the showroom beginning in May 2017. Although the price of the McLaren 720S is not yet official, the automaker company claims that the price will start about 5 percent higher compared to its predecessor.
