Hello Games added more than just new vehicles in the latest "No Man's Sky" Update. Players also get PS4 Pro support, photo features, and a Permadeath mode.

The upgraded "No Man's Sky" video game is definitely not playing around as it really arrived with big things. Actually, the surprises were even more than what was hinted before. Read on for more details.

'No Man's Sky': PS4 Pro support & planetary vehicles

According to Engadget, two of the most notable features of the Path Finder update are the PS4 Pro support and the improved ground vehicles. The former is "optimized for 4K" while the other is set to "aid home planet exploration." This time, all PS4 Pro users can expect 4K resolutions in "No Man's Sky".

Meanwhile, the ship specialization feature is divided into four categories such as Shuttle, Fighter, Hauler, and Explorer. Their duties are to transport, to combat, to carry cargo, and to increase warp capability respectively. Consequently, Exocraft vehicles can now be utilized in "No Man's Sky" too.

The Exocraft are land-based units for ground navigation and mining. It has three types like Nomad, Roamer, and Colossus. Aside from the fact that these massive cars could be summoned from anywhere on the particular planet, they can also race. "No Man's Sky" offers courses and time trial races to let players experience a little more fun.

Photo features & Permadeath - 'No Man's Sky'

Gamespot reported that a variety of enhanced graphic displays have also been launched for "No Man's Sky". Some of these improvements are the ultra-resolution textures, high contrast lighting effects, crepuscular rays from the sun, and horizon HDR mode for compatible monitors.

The Permadeath mode, meanwhile, immediately ends the game if the player meets an untimely fate. "The consequences of death will be absolute," Hello Games noted. "No Man's Sky" has another ultra-tough mode called Survival. "Dying in space will now restart you on the nearest planet's surface, away from your crashed ship," it added.

For the record, other "No Man's Sky" specs include new shops and traders, weapons, and a chance to own multiple ships. Multi-tool classes plus music from 65daysofstatic would surely become a hit. Lastly, a number of "quality of life" improvements are now appearing faster and they can, in fact, be skipped.
