Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus reportedly mark an era for the Moto G lineup. Aside from the impressive specs and never-before features, Lenovo has reportedly prepared the handsets for the rolling out of Android 8.0 anytime sooner.

Lenovo Reportedly Preparing for Android 8.0 Rollout

Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are the two latest additions to Motorola's Moto G family that have undergone major overhaul in terms of specs, features and physical built. Aside from the fact that the phones have made its predecessors completely dumb, they also aim for a premium experience in an affordable price, The Verge reported.

What's makes Moto G5 handsets more interesting is the fact that they run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. And because Motorola is known for bringing latest Android version to their handsets as early as possible, rumors suggest that Lenovo is prepares the recently launched handsets for Android 8.0; however, this remains unconfirmed.

Impressive Features and Specs Not Found in Predecessors

On the other hand, while Moto G5 boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, the Plus variant is highly-powered by Snapdragon 625 both coupled with RAM that's ranging from 2GB and 4GB as well as a 32GB internal storage expandable up to 128GBvia micro-SD card. The regular G5 has 2800 mAh battery whereas, the Plus variant has 3000 mAh battery; both are removable but does not support wireless charging.

Another point of distinction between Moto G5 and predecessors is the 5.2-inch screen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The latest Moto G handset is also equip with fingerprint scanner use to navigate the screen and add up more space, India Today reported.

The physical appearances of Moto G5 handsets are reportedly similar to the recent smartphones of Moto Z family. The device's metal finish and aluminum backplate has dressed the phone a premium feels. The phone will be launched in two colors, lunar gray and fine gold.
