The "GTA 6" is anticipated to roll out in 2018, as the lead developer of the franchise is reportedly working on the next GTA installment. Nonetheless, there are speculations claiming that the upcoming video game will be out in the market in 2021.

"Grand Theft Auto" famous tipster Yan2295 claimed that the video game developer will refrain from issuing updates to "GTA Online" in 2017. After Rockstar will launch the "Red Dead Redemption 2," all of "GTA Online" updates will be stopped. The GTA tipster also stated that Rockstar North, the lead developer of the franchise, is working on the next GTA installment.

Nevertheless, as the video game developer is still enjoying "Grand Theft Auto V's" success, the idea of the next GTA installment hardly makes it on the news. In spite of that, it didn't discourage the expectations of GTA enthusiasts, especially after the president of Rockstar North Leslie Benzies, stated that the company still have 45 years worth of ideas for the franchise of "Grand Theft Auto." Following the pattern of the GTA franchise release dates, there's a possibility that Rockstar will roll out the "GTA 6" in 2018.

There are also speculations that the "GTA 6" release date could be in 2021. As a suspicious door numbering pattern has been discovered in one of the airports in the fifth installment. It has been said that if GTA players goes to this particular spot in the game, one of the doors indicates a number 2013, and the door right next to it has a number 2021. Wherein, the GTA 5 was released in 2013 and the next installment might be available in 2021.

In spite of that, a number of GTA fans believe that the "GTA 5's" open world online multiplayer game is a sort of a placeholder for the upcoming "GTA 6." On the contrary, some fans think that GTA Online is actually holding back the release date of "Grand Theft Auto 6," according to TNH Online.
