Niantic CEO John Hanke has confirmed that before 2017 ends, the Legendary Pokemon will be added to the location-based augmented reality game, "Pokemon Go." Also, the video game developer is said to be gearing up for a "Pokemon Go" St. Patrick's Day event. Nonetheless, fans of the mobile game are still looking out for the Legendary Birds.

Niantic CEO Hanke revealed in his recent interview the direction of the mobile game in 2017. CEO Hanke stated that one of the things that "Pokemon Go" fans have to look forward to is the Legendary Pokemon's introduction. Hanke also teased the huge "Pokemon Go" update and fixes to cheating. Nevertheless, as "Pokemon Go" players are demanding for Legendary Pokemon, such as Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos, Hanke claimed that fans will certainly see more of the Pokemon creatures this year, according to WIRED.

Meanwhile, as "Pokemon Go" gamers are still looking out for Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, rumors are springing one after the other that these Legendary Birds would be added to the location-based augmented reality game before the rest of the Gen 2 Pokemon will arrive. It has been said that these special Pokemon creatures will not be introduced just like how other creatures were added in the game. The Legendary Birds will reportedly be featured at "Pokemon Go" events.

On the other hand, although the Pokemon Day event has already ended, Niantic could launch another "Pokemon Go" event. Nonetheless, the next "Pokemon Go" event will be based on a pattern that brings event rewards, Express reported. In spite of that, rumor has it that the "Pokemon Go" developer might be gearing up for a St. Patrick's Day event.

Furthermore, the game developer may even add shiny Pokemon during the St. Patrick's Day event. The "Pokemon Go" St. Patrick's Day event would even increase the spawn rates of all green Pokemon.
