Twitch, the social streaming site dedicated for games launched Pulse, a feature that will put into one place, all the social happenings in the gaming-verse. This move hopes to herd all of Twitch's gaming population from wandering on other social media such as Twitter and Facebook.

As Twitch is confidently the most massive host for online game streams, they are happy to upgrade their services to better cater to every growing need of their subscribers. Before Pulse, most of the time, gamers and viewers inform each other of scheduled streams predominantly on Twitter and Youtube. This is now being catered by Pulse once the feature is eventually used by its content creators.

Twitch advertise that Pulse is the place for streamers to post and engage their followers and greatly solidifying the Twitch community. It is not a normal channel feed, but an integration of all the activities done by the community on social sites, into one feature. Sharing of videos, photos and clips are made easier and more engaging. It is among the features that Twitch hopes would catch on with its subscribers.

Through Twitch's Pulse, people can share links, videos, texts from sites such as YouTube, Vimeo and even Twitch. Photos can also be shared through Imgur and Gfycat. Content creators has more control over their page, manage comments, friend lists, posts and more.

It is clearly a new dawn for Twitch, if Pulse indeed catches on with its community. However, because of the massive influence Twitter and YouTube has in society today, it is unlikely that in an instant people would just leave Twitter and rely on Pulse for their game stream updates. However, it is a start for Twitch to really rise up in the occasion and use it enormous success to its advantage.
