The impending Xbox Scorpio has reportedly provoked Sony to release the purported PlayStation 5 or PS5 this year; a console that will come in two versions and a VR headset. The console sounds powerful; thus, Microsoft is also preparing for the Xbox Two in 2020.

Sony Has Reportedly Though of Releasing PS5

Now that the hype has started for the Xbox One Scorpio Project, Microsoft toughest rival in gaming console Sony has reportedly considered releasing the PlayStation 5 or PS5 to counter the newest console. However, this claim has been refuted by a global industry analyst Michael Pachter that Sony won't be releasing any console in 2017 and 2018 just to respond to Microsoft, PlayStation Universe reported.

Pachter explains that Sony has a three-year pattern for releasing gaming consoles and the PS5 is likely to debut in 2019 that follows the PS4 which was released in 2016. In the same manner, Microsoft is also likely to release another console in 2019 to counter the Sony PS5.

On the other hand, the purported PS5 is expected to be more powerful than predecessors because of a more innovative technology. According to Korea Portal, the gaming console will released in two versions, Core Experience and Pro Experience; added to that is a portable VR headset.

Furthermore, PS5 is also said to sport a massive hard drive with 50 terabytes capacity, a Solid State Drive and an embedded remote controller. 4K HD resolution support is also expected to land in the next powerful gaming console to debut in November 2020.

Microsoft Prepares for PS5 with Xbox Two

The unprecedented moves from major console manufacturer have always surprised the players. Another plan from Microsoft is about to change the landscape of game console industry as the Windows-maker is reportedly replacing Xbox One with Xbox Two in 2020, GamePur reported.

Xbox Two is reportedly supporting games with 4K resolution and has backward compatibility with Xbox 360 and Xbox One older games. The console is said to be focusing on Virtual Reality which will later introduced the players into the world of Microsoft Hololens with mixed reality.
