While fans are hungry for the Galaxy S8, Samsung serves the Galaxy Xcover 4 as a heavy appetizer.

For those who refuse to buy the S series but want a mid-range phone, the Galaxy Xcover 4 is a perfect choice. Samsung also boasts that the new handset survives in water, dust, and extreme temperatures. Its touchscreen works fine with gloves and contains a mechanical button at the bottom for easier navigation.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4: Full Specs

According to CNET, Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 2800mAh non-removable battery. It has a 4.99" screen with 720 x 1280p display. However, it does not support dual-SIM.

Nevertheless, the Galaxy Xcover 4 thrives with a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor. Samsung also placed 2GB of RAM to complement the phone's 16GB internal memory. In the imaging department, the mobile gadget showcases a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter.

Meanwhile, sensors are also present in the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4. These features include an Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, and Accelerometer. For the record, it weighs around 182gm.

How much is the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4?

According to Slash Gear, Samsung sells the Galaxy Xcover 4 for €259, which is equivalent to $272. As of now, the handset is reportedly available in black variant only. The handset secured an IP68 rating too like the Galaxy S7.

Currently, the expected month of release is April. Do note that the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 has something special not found in the Galaxy S7. The MIL-STD 810G certification makes the former almost invincible to outdoor threats.

Samsung really upgraded the Xcover 3 which launched two years ago. It sports an Android 4.4 KitKat with 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The Galaxy Xcover 4 also doubled the internal storage of its predecessor. The Galaxy Xcover 3 only had 8GB of memory.
