Everyone thought that Sony PlayStation 4 Pro or PS4 Pro will make Xbox eat their dust but it's seem like wrong to assume that way. The upcoming release of Xbox Project Scorpio has elicited curiosity and excitement from the gaming community because of its promising support for "upscaled 4K" content which has an advantage over PS4 Pro's native 4K.

In this battle between major consoles, it is always a good marketing strategy to say that a certain console supports native 4K or upscaled 4K. According to Express, Sony once claimed that PS4 Pro pushes for native 4K but here comes Microsoft's Xbox Project Scorpio which is purported to feature games in upscaled 4K.

For the past year, Xbox has been reportedly left behind the overwhelming popularity of Sony PS4 and PS4 Pro because of a powerful system with support to games that run in native 4K. However, the situation is likely to change both for Xbox and PlayStation since the former is already prepping up for the release of the most powerful console in the market which delivers not only 4K gaming but also 6 teraflops of GPU and Virtual Reality support.

But the excitement never stops most especially when Microsoft revealed their plans of bringing support for Windows Mixed Reality to Xbox Project Scorpio in 2018. According to The Verge, Other PC manufacturers like Acer, Dell, HP and Lenovo also planned to introduce MWR which also suggest compatibility with Xbox Project Scorpio and a large market for Microsoft.

On the other hand, an Xbox resurrection is deeply seen after Project Scorpio release during E3 according to GameSpot.  Aside from the purported powerful specs, a major shift of gamers from Sony to Microsoft is anticipated after the latter's launching of Xbox Game Pass, a marketing strategy for Non-Xbox owners.

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription-based where owners can download Xbox One games directly to the console for around $10 per month. These games include Mad Max, Fable 3, Terraria, Payday 2, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Halo 5: Guardians and other Xbox One and Xbox 360 compatibility games.
