Players of Pokemon GO have reportedly coming back on track after the release of Gen 2. With the release of the rumored new Pokemon-catching device and revamped Pokemon GO Plus, Nintendo is expecting an increase number of new players for this year.

"Pokemon GO" Plus Reportedly Redesign with Newly Added Functionalities

"Pokemon GO" Plus is the only Pokemon-related device that is available in the market today. However, players have multiple complains about the need to press the button every time the device vibrates when nearing a Pokemon or PokeStop.

For this reason, a Reddit user named Marauder Pete has modified its "Pokemon GO" Plus device by rewiring the vibration motor so that every time the Pokemon or PokeStop is near, the device simulates being pressed so players need not to press the button in cases like that. But according to Express, modification to POGO+ device could be a violation to Niantic's terms and condition for Services or Content of the device.

The Mystery Device Might Be a Mini-Watch

Aside from "Pokemon GO" Plus, Niantic is reportedly developing a new device which helps the player catch the elusive Gen 2 Pokemons. According to Forbes, this device could be something like a mini-watch that runs the "Pokemon GO" game app with less involvement unlike the smartphones where the players need to check every single moment.

Furthermore, the presumed mini-watch also allows the players to check the spawning status of each Pokemon in the Pokedex as well as choosing what kinds of balls they like to throw. On the other hand, while it's Niantic and Nintendo's goal to baby-proof the "Pokemon GO" game, the tech giants expect the device to add more safety on the player's end by having not to look on their smartphone's screen while crossing the street.

This mystery device is said to speed up "Pokemon GO" Gen 2 catching and to gain more players, even bringing back the old ones. Meanwhile, Niantic and Nintendo refuse to give any information regarding the new peripheral but Forbes learned that it is already under development and will hit the store shelves anytime soon.
