While upcoming space adventure game "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is just a few days away from its official launch date, developer BioWare has been reportedly working something else, probably a new title. Latest reports suggest that the Mass Effect dev, BioWare, is working on an IP and not a role-playing game (RPG). BioWare is expected to share new details about this story, probably this month.

BioWare Working On A New IP, A Sci-Fi And Not An RPG

BioWare is making another big headline this week. According to GameRant, Blake Jorgensen, Chief Financial Officer for Electronic Arts, has just confirmed details about the rumored IP story, suggesting that it will be 'more Sci-Fi' related.

This also means that company's Mass Effect series may not be BioWare's only offerings to introduce space adventure action and gaming experience. BioWare is cooking something new and the upcoming "Mass Effect Andromeda" might have a new space-faring cousin.

In the company's recent financial call, Electronic Arts have made a bold announcement that it will be playing that game before the end of the next March when the company's financial year comes to an end. Also in the financial call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson made some talks about the mysterious title and later described the unannounced title as an action-adventure title and not an RPG game.

This is not the first time the new property has been mentioned in public or online. The mysterious IP has been mentioned before by BioWare, with BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn suggested in a blog post that the rumored new title game has already been in the works since 2012. Flynn also said that BioWare has made some 'soul-searching things' to determine what it wanted to make for a new IP.

In an interview with Game Informer, Flynn shared his insights about the mysterious IP and said that the unannounced game is coming along well, but also stated that the crowd shouldn't expect the new BioWare title game to be announced soon.

Also in the Game Informer interview, Flynn also talked about the reason behind the cancellation of the BioWare game "Shadow Realms." Flynn also said that the company is hoping not to repeat the same mistake with the new BioWare IP. Additionally, Flynn also discussed that BioWare is more interested in finding out a way to make a co-op campaign work in the future game development.

The rumored new BioWare title was first teased back at E3 2014, but today it's making a comeback and might pose for a big reveal anytime soon as EA noted that the mysterious BioWare title it will be out by the year 2018.

Not much information is known about the rumored new BioWare title, but a tiny snippet of concept art has been revealed in 2014. Some have speculated that this might be the first clue to the new title.

In the concept art, the art depicted a day-night cycle over rolling green fields with an outpost to the side of the frame, something that would fit with a Mass Effect title. Interestingly, this was teased at the end of a "Mass Effect: Andromeda" presentation, according to the UK online publication Eurogamer.net.

The Edmonton-based game developer is expected to make the big reveal at the upcoming "Mass Effect Andromeda" launch date this coming March 21.

BioWare Confirms Multiplayer Mode Is Coming

In other BioWare-related news, BioWare has now confirmed reports- multiplayer mode is coming on March 10 at PAX East. The Edmonton-based developer has also posted on their blog the exact details of the multiplayer mode along with the Hands-on event that will run each day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

In addition to the multiplayer mode, BioWare also shared an image of the company's floor plans for the event. BioWare and Mass Effect fans can get more about the upcoming event at BioWare's official blog.
Finally, BioWare's next space adventure game "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be releasing in full this coming March 21.
