Though Microsoft has been quite secretive regarding the release date of its all-in-one device, the Surface Pro 5, the recent changes in the tech giant's online store has led to speculations. Nonetheless, by the time Microsoft will launch the Surface Pro 5 in the market, the device is said to go head to head with Apple's iPad Pro 2.

As the Surface Pro 3 is no longer available from Microsoft's online store, it is a clear indication that the tech company is planning to release the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 in Q1 2017, according to Digital Trends. The launch of the Surface Pro 5 coincides with the Windows 10 Creators Update. It was previously announced by Microsoft that the Windows 10 Creators Update will be released in April 2017, wherein, tech experts are expecting the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will also roll out.

Nevertheless, as the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will come along with Intel's seventh generation Kaby Lake processors, Microsoft's all-in-one device has a huge step up over Apple's iPad Pro 2 (which will be powered by Apple's A10X chipset). The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is speculated to feature cover keyboard, stylus and surface dial, while Apple will only ship the iPad Pro 2 with an Apple Pencil and a smart keyboard, News 4C reported.

Another edge of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 over the Apple iPad Pro 2 is that the device will be packed with a 12.3-inch Ultra HD/4K display, and coupled with higher configurations of RAM as well as graphics support. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also expected to have a USB Type-C support. Also, a large battery capacity of Microsoft's upcoming device is on the line. Furthermore, tech fans can use the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 as a full-on laptop or a tablet, while the iPad Pro 2 can only be used as a tablet.
