Nintendo fans are locked in an ongoing debate whether to buy a Nintendo Switch at launch or wait out for a few months for new games to be added like a pre-holiday bundle. Though the temptation of having more games is a good enough reason, there are even more compelling reasons why buying the console at launch is a smart move investment-wise. John Cena's gushing remarks about the new console's groundbreaking versatility adds more meat to the debate as the athlete turned actor joins future Nintendo Switch campaigns.

Critics of the Nintendo Switch often blame the short list of games available in buying the console at launch. This may be true for the upcoming console, but the list includes noteworthy titles like the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," which in itself is already a huge attraction. The title is available from day one and makes a compelling reason to buy the new console. In the past, every new hardware comes with its killer game like "Demon's Souls" in PlayStation 3 and "Bloodborne" in PlayStation 4.

Another good reason for buying the Nintendo Switch at launch is that it is the ideal console for family gatherings, promising endless hours of play that people of varying ages can enjoy. The 1-2 Switch will be available at launch offering as many as 27 different mini-games where two or more players can participate. One of these is "Fake Draw," which is a gun-fight simulator where players need to fire when the narrator says so. However, it can be tricky for the narrator will also say a bunch of similar-sounding words and misfiring leads to a player losing the game.

The Nintendo Switch also has "Just Dance 2017," which provides more physical activity for family members as compared to some outdoor activities. The battery life of the Switch has been known to be better than the iPad or the PlayStation Vita, making it all the more the go-to device for hours of endless fun. Add to that the option to plug it via a USB-C charger, which is available for the handheld mode, but not for the Tabletop Mode, according to Forbes.

The Japanese have gone into the smallest of details to make the Nintendo Switch a standout piece of hardware. The Joy-Con controllers make playing "Ball Count" enjoyable as realistic tiny spheres can be easily felt when resting the console on a player's palm. The object of the game is to count how many metal spheres are there. Though clearly lacking in horsepower, the Switch makes up for it in design and portability, which is a sentiment shared by John Cena when using the console for the first time.

Cena's gushes over the console's groundbreaking "versatility" saying that it is not large enough to transport with difficulty or small enough to enjoy the visuals that a game can offer. GameSpot has learned that Cena will be working with the Japanese for upcoming campaigns to market the Nintendo Switch. The console will be launching on March 3 for only $299 and an additional $80 for an extra set of Joy-Con controllers. Extra charges apply to games, which are not bundled with the new console.
