Ryan Murphy hints the difference of season 6 to "American Horror Story" season 7. The showrunner teases an election-themed story arc. Though he already clarifies the issue where the plot will be based, fans might still see a "Trump-Clinton" inspired story.

Fans Might Still See Trump-Clinton In The Series

Ryan Murphy ("Scream Queens", "Glee") teases the theme of his famous horror drama series, "American Horror Story". The seventh season will take on the 2016 election story arc.

Murphy tells Andy Cohen in "Watch What Happens Live" what his masterpiece will be about, adding that Donald Trump might be one of the characters. This created a buzz around the internet and even made headlines on numerous websites. Though some fans see it as an interesting plot, the showrunner insists that his statement should not be taken seriously.

However, in his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy reveals though the two controversial politicians will not be part of "American Horror Story" season 7, the influence of the election will still be there. Fans could expect to feel the presence of the Trump and Clinton through the previous presidency election in the story.

Moreover, the showrunner notes his interest in making a politically-charged show where he could "express all sides" of the said theme.

"...all of the stuff that I'm developing now is going to be about illuminating and highlighting people who don't have a voice in our culture," says Murphy.

According to reports from Indiewire, Murphy blames "Watch What Happen Live" martinis. In his acceptance speech for Television Showmanship of the Year, he reveals having three martinis in the show.

"They gave me three martinis in 20 minutes! That's not good," says Murphy.

"American Horror Story" possible return for its seventh season might be slated in September.
