Nokia does not want the best-selling smartphone 3310 to be remembered. It wants the device to live once more.

The biggest phone show should have revolutionary devices being showcased but Nokia takes a few years back when Nokia 3310 ruled the world.

The company reveals Nokia 3310 at MWC 2017. It has all things a lot simpler than an Android or iOS devices can do. Nokia claims that the smartphone is a 'modern classic reimagined' with a few revamps including a battery that can last up to a month in standby, the classic Snake game, and the push buttons.

It comes with lots of updates, however. For instance, it now has 2.4" curved window with polarized layer and 2 MP camera with LED flash. Users can choose between single SIM or dual SIM variant.

The phone is made for 'calling and texting' with its 2G connectivity. It has a revamped UI and decent audio for the MP3 player. Nokia generously packs the 3310 with 16 MP of internal storage that comes with a dedicated slot for memory expansion up to 32 GB.

While the hardware setup doesn't show a high-tech virtue, Nokia 3310 indeed, has grabbed visitors' attention at the show. Analyst Ben Wood from CCS Insight praised the company's move to sell the nostalgic smartphone to significantly boost sales, BBC reported.

However, many are complaining on the redesigned smartphone and the rather hefty price tag. There has been opinion split since it has an extremely good battery life but it pretty much can't do what a smartphone should do. Nokia 3310 does come with limitations but a few useful features can be found, such as calculator, reminders up to 10 items, and preinstalled games.

The original Nokia 3310

The Finnish company introduced Nokia 3310 in 2000 but it no longer sells the original series. It had durable specs and fun design that went to become one of the best-selling devices of all time.
