 AMOLED display is the new technology that are about to be introduced to the market by major industry players such as Apple and Samsung. Switching from the traditional LCD display to AMOLED has advantages and they are the following:

• Thinner products - gone are days when smartphones are bulky. This 2017 onwards, major tech manufacturer will bring to the market thinner and pocket-sized products such as smartphones and tablet to the market.
• Improve battery life - since AMOLED screens need not to have backlights hidden under, it is believed to contribute to the preservation of battery life because unused pixels are eventually turned off, Gadgets NDTV reported.
• True and vivid colors - televisions utilized OLED because of its capability to produce true and vivid colors. Furthermore, pixels in AMOLED screen are controlled thus; better contrast is highly evident compared to LCD screens.

Two Smartphones That Will Feature AMOLED Screen in 2017

Samsung Galaxy S8 is widely rumored to sport a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display. Aside from that, a 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front shooter, iris scanner, 64GB of expandable geometry and waterproof design are also expected to grace the new queen of Samsung premium handsets, Express reported.

On the other hand, Apple iPhone is also expected to sport AMOLED display but rumor suggest the possibility of a foldable screen. The phone is also said to feature an edgeless display where Touch ID sensor is integrated and a virtual Home Button.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is slated to be release in March of this year which is expected to be pricier than Galaxy S7. While Apple iPhone 8 is rumored to be launched in September during the 10^th iPhone anniversary celebration.
