AMD Ryzen dominates a recent gaming performance benchmarking test as it destroyed Intel Core i7 6900K reputation as the leading gaming processor available in the market days ahead of its March 2 release date. Aside from teasing its unprecedentedly best performance yet, AMD Ryzen CPUs are coming in five different processing variants taking over the competition in all gaming processor ranges.

According to PC World, AMD Ryzen has stunned organizers and test conductors during its CPU performance at the famous Maxon CineBench benchmarking. AMD's Ryzen 7 1700X was matched with Intel Core i7 6900K, the best in its lineup. Interestingly, the former has scored 1,601 against the latter's 1,542. The Handbrake benchmark result showed that AMD Ryzen outdid Intel's chips and ran marginally faster in gaming

In addition, what AMD put during the multi-threaded tests was not the fastest processor in its lineup which prestige belongs to AMD Ryzen 7 1800X. Interestingly, the price margin between AMD and Intel is remarkable in itself which could practically boost AMD Ryzen's market value by selling its units at $499 compared to Intel's $1050, WCCF Tech added.

Meanwhile, PC World drops an AMD Ryzen 7 1800X and the Intel Core i7 6900K head-to-head comparison where both AMD and Intel are spec'd with dual RX 480s in Crossfire and 16GB of DDR4 memory. They battled with the recently launched Sniper Elite 4 running at 4K whereas the character and the camera are placed in the exact same position on both systems ensuring that both were rendering the exact same scene.

Ryzen 7 1800X remarkably outdid 95 FPS by averaging 96.6 frames per second while Intel Core i7 6900K came short with an average of 90.5 frames per second. Impressively, AMD Ryzen scored a 6.7percent performance lead. However, both processors performed the same for Single-Threading scoring 162points. In review, AMD's performance and the price tag is an absolute feat Intel has to counter to reclaim its glory.
