Android 8.0 "Oreo" Tipped to Launch in Google I/O Event

Android 8.0 is the subject of rumors nowadays most especially when a senior Google figure and reliable tipster has posted a cryptic message in his Twitter handle an image with Oreo cookies. According to Express, Hiroshi Lockheimer is also one of those who tweeted about Nougat but mistakenly referred to it as "Nutella".

However, due to the scarcity of naming options that starts from letter "O", Oreo could be the best fit aside from Oatmeal and Orange Crush. In relative to that, Google might also ask suggestions from Android fans for the name just like what they did to Nougat last year, BGR reported.

Android 8.0 is tipped to launch in the upcoming Google I/O event happening in August. With this regard, Google is also rumored to launch the Andromeda OS, a combination of Android and Chrome OS and is expected to run in the upcoming Google Nexus 7 (2017) tablet.
