The premiere of "Attack on Titan Season 2" is just around the corner. And so, here are some things you should look forward to in the new season of the highly acclaimed anime series based on Hajime Isayama's manga series.

Opening Theme & Orchestral Music

Linked Horizon is set to return with a new opening theme for "Attack on Titan Season 2," which they have promised to be "even more rousing," according to ComicBook. The Japanese rock band was tapped for both the first and second opening themes of "Attack on Titan." With the success of "Guren no Yumiya" or "Crimson Bow and Arrow" in the music charts and "Jiyū e no Shingeki" or "March to Freedom" being considered as one of the most iconic anime soundtracks of all time, it's no surprise for Linked Horizon to continue their legacy in one of the most anticipated anime series return this summer.

Meanwhile, Japanese musician and composer Hiroyuki Sawano has recently announced on Twitter that he has finished mixing the orchestral music for "Attack on Titan" Season 2. Having worked on the music scores for the first season and other popular animes like "Ao no Exorcist" and "The Seven Deadly Sins," one can really expect to hear "truly epic music" in Season 2 of "Attack on Titan." It's worth noting that Sawano earlier announced that he has started mixing the orchestral music for the said anime just last February 17.

Character Exploration

The first season of "Attack on Titan" noticeably focused more on its main characters, Eren and Mikasa. That being said, Director Koizuka Masashi and Chief Director Araki Tetsuro sat down for an interview with Newtype Magazine to clarify this issue. According to an earlier post on ComicBook, Season 2 of "Attack on Titan" will definitely get to explore more characters. However, Koizuka mentioned that in order to accomplish this, they had to use a number of film techniques and film rolls, and the notion that every dialogue should fit in with the storyline as a whole and not just focused on one part of it.

In addition, Araki mentioned that working on the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 has been both scary and humorous (considering the number of film rolls they have already used), but also something that makes them all proud (considering the hard work every staff member has put into producing high-quality anime series).

"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is set to release this March.
