Johnny Manziel is expected to announce his decision to declare for the 2014 NFL Draft Wednesday and he has also selected his professional representation.

Unnamed sources told ESPN's Sam Kahn Jr. Manziel is to announce his decision, but would not confirm which he had chosen. All signs thus far indicate the Texas A&M quarterback will forgo his last two years of eligibility in the NCAA and go pro.

As other unnamed sources told ESPN's Darren Rovell, Manziel has selected an agency to represent him professionally. He has reportedly chosen Select Sports Group in Houston for his contract and Maverick Carter's LRMR firm for marketing. Carter is a business partner of LeBron James, who Manziel recently identified as a personal mentor for navigating a famous life at a young age.

However, Manziel said Monday night during the BCS National Championship that was still undecided, opening a small glimmer of hope for a return to College Station. He may say he wants to sign with certain firm, but he does not actually lose his NCAA eligibility until he signs with one.

Manziel capped off a memorable two-year college career with a thrilling comeback win against Duke in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. In two years, Manziel scored a total of 93 touchdowns, 63 passing and 30 rushing. He threw for 7,820 yards and ran for 2,169 in both seasons.

Manziel's main criticism after his Heisman-winning freshman season was a perceived inability to stay in the pocket and throw the ball downfield. This season, he increased his overall passer rating and improved on average yards per passing attempt, completion percentage, total yards and total touchdowns.

ESPN's draft experts both agree he is one of the top quarterbacks available. In Todd McShay's first mock draft, Manziel is the fourth overall pick and the third quarterback taken in those four selections.

Several draft day moves have yet to be made and the Houston Texans, the team selecting first, are seeking a quarterback and are open to trading their selection.
