The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event is just around the corner, wherein, the world's largest mobile industry exhibition is flying fast and thick. The latest announcement came from Samsung, which launched its latest flagship Exynos 9 8895 chip for high-end handsets. The Exynos 9 8895 is expected to power the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

The Samsung Exynos 9 8895 is a combination of eight CPU cores with an ARM Mali-G71 GPU, as well as the tech giant's gigabit LTE modem. The Samsung Exynos 9 8895 is manufactured in the tech company's new 10nm process, which allows for performance increases up to 27 percent while using up to 40 percent less power than its 14nm process. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are expected to roll out with the Samsung Exynos 9 8895 chip, according to Techno Buffalo.

Although the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will still utilized Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor, probably rolls out in the U.S., while Exynos 9 8895 chip will be up for grabs in other markets. Nonetheless, the Gigabit LTE networks will be supported by Samsung's Exynos 9 Series 8895 chip. Also, the Exynos 9 8895 chip is expected to improve virtual reality, and will support 4K UHD video at 120fps and more. According to XDA Developers, the Exynos 8895 will come along with a separate processing unit for enhanced security solutions and VPU (Vision Processing Unit).

The spec sheet of the Samsung Exynos 9 8895 also reveals that it supports up to 28MP rear and front cameras, and it uses a LPDDR4x memory. Samsung made it known that the Exynos 9 8895 is currently in mass production. In spite of that, Vice President of System LSI marketing at Samsung Electronics Ben Hur, stated that the Exynos 9 8895 will drive the innovation of next-gen smartphones, virtual reality headsets, as well as automotive infotainment system.
