As expected, the Japanese market gets the P8 Lite (2017) as Huawei Nova Lite. It will come in three colors such as black, gold, and white.

Various media outfits earlier claimed that the P8 may relaunch under a different name. Well, speculations are now confirmed as the Huawei Nova Lite officially retails on Friday. How much is the new smartphone and is it a worthy purchase?

Price & availability

Unfortunately, no exact detail about the phone's price is available right now. Nonetheless, Softpedia predicts that Huawei Nova Lite soon debuts in more countries worldwide. Accordingly, it will sell at around €240 in Europe.

Whatever name the device will use is hard to predict. Currently, the P8 Lite (2017) is available in China and Finland. Japan, meanwhile, is the first nation to introduce the handset as Huawei Nova Lite.

According to Phone Arena, the Huawei Nova Lite is listed as a mid-range Android gadget. It has a pretty decent rating, as far as specs are concerned. For example, it comes with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system paired with a powerful eight-core processor inside.

Huawei Nova Lite: Kirin 655 & 12MP cam

Per GSM Arena, the 5.2" Huawei Nova Lite is practically identical to the P8 segment. It added its own Kirin 655 chipset that accommodates four 2.1GHz A53 cores and another four 1.7GHz A53 configurations. It houses 3GB of RAM and a larger 16GB internal storage.

Luckily, the memory capacity of the Huawei Nova Lite is expandable to 128GB via a microSD card. Moreover, the device offers a hybrid dual-SIM support and a fingerprint scanner at the back. Consequently, it offers an amazing 1080 resolution display.

In the photo category, the Huawei Nova Lite sports a 12MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. An equally competitive 8MP selfie shooter is placed seen at the front. It runs a 3,000mAh battery inside.

Other highlights include NFC and 4G LTE support system. The Huawei Nova Lite retained the 3.5mm headphone jack as well. As a matter of fact, it also opted the microUSB 2.0 port.
