Nioh, the newly launched action role-playing game developed by Team Ninja for the PS4, is getting harder for players as the developer announced the game's first DLC update along with upcoming new features. Nioh developer Team Ninja has plenty more contents to offer for the Nioh fans, free contents and paid alike.

According to Wccftech, Team Ninja has finally confirmed reports of the number of new features, which is scheduled for release late next month. The new Nioh update will feature hard mode mission, adding high difficulty missions to the game.

The tech website also added that there will be 10 different types of missions in the game. These include a certain type of missions that will feel like boss rushes and something challenging. During the Japanese livestream, Team Ninja has revealed to the public more details about the game, mostly focused around the game's first DLC.

As mentioned earlier by Gematsu, Nioh players can expect two free updates in the next two months. This will be followed by Three DLC packs. The pack will include new stages along with new scenarios, new weapon types, new yokai, new characters, and more.

Another new big addition to the game will be the PvP, which said to expand the gaming experience. Players can read more about the new DLC at the Dualshockers website

Launched in February 2017, Nioh was developed by Team Ninja, a division of the game's publisher Koei Tecmo who had previously worked on the "Dead or Alive" series.

Nioh is an action role-playing game set in Japan in the early 1600s during the fictionalized version of the Sengoku period, the time when Japan was in the midst of brutal civil war prior to the rise of the much feared Tokugawa shogunate. Its gameplay revolves around navigating levels and defeating monsters that have terrorized the area.

According to Dualshockers, the upcoming DLC will be released in the wild in late April, this will be followed by two more episodes. Nioh is currently in all regions exclusively on Sony's PS4 game console.
