So, is the word "Jedi" singular or plural? Apparently, this question has left fans wondering and more as the hype for "Star Wars: Episode 8" continue to rise.

"Star Wars" is undeniably one of the most successful box-office franchises out there. And with "Star Wars: Episode 8" coming up, fans are coming up with their own theories as well - the latest one being "who will be the last Jedi?" But as the next episode's title was released in other languages, this question seemingly leads to another question - and most of all, other theories.

Officially titled as "The Last Jedi," Disney has recently announced the upcoming movie's title in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German, as reported by Polygon. Twitter user @amzeratul, however, noticed something: is the word "Jedi" singular or plural? That being said, it can be recalled that most people have talked about Luke Skywalker being the last Jedi out there when "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ended. So, who could be the other Jedi if the word itself is considered plural?

The "plural or single" question did lead to another theory, though: Rey might be the last Jedi as she displayed signs of being one. She could also be what she might become soon under the guidance of Luke. However, a Reddit user named Raayzo debunked the "plural" issue - stating that the "plural" issue somehow doesn't make any sense as it should have been obvious that Rey might be the last Jedi when she found Luke back in Episode 7 and getting trained to become one under his guidance.

In other news, it can be recalled that Anakin Skywalker (now Darth Vader) and Luke Skywalker both lost their right hands. Both events also happened in the second films of their respective trilogies, in "Empire Strikes Back" and in "Attack of the Clones." However, it looks like their successor might suffer the same fate as well - in the second film of the ongoing "Star Wars" trilogy. As reported on Express UK, Rey is shown to have her arm chopped off. Aside from that, she was shown using an all-too-familiar lightsaber on the said picture - further hinting that she is, indeed, a Skywalker.

Well, everyone will just have to wait and see "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" for themselves this December.

Wait, the pt_BR title for Star Wars Episode 8 is "Os últimos Jedi", as in... "The Last Jedi", but in the plural?
