The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge owners have started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Other Samsung devices, such as Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy A series and Galaxy J series will acquire the Android Nougat update soon.

It appears that Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners can now upgrade to the seventh major version of the Android operating system. T-Mobile has started launching the Android 7.0 Nougat to its Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. The Android 7.0 Nougat update comes completely installed with the February 1st security patches. It appears that T-Mobile and the South Korean tech giant are giving out the Nougat update to users who had been beta testing the software, according to Express.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices comes in at 117 MB. The update brings all of the features that tech fans have come to expect with Nougat updates. The Android 7.0 Nougat update brings new features, such as various notification tweaks, user interface tweaks, improvements to Multi-Window, and more.

Nonetheless, the Android 7.0 Nougat software build for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets is NRD90M, which will upgrade the devices from Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to Android 7.0 Nougat. Before attempting to download and install the update, users are recommended to have their devices connected to Wi-Fi and charged to at least 50 percent. To begin installation, beta users will have to access Settings, Software Update, and then Software Manual Download, Android Authority reported.

In spite of that, it appears the Android 7.0 Nougat update is limited to the U.S. network T-Mobile, and not in the U.K. company. A spokesperson for the mobile network operator company EE Limited, stated that they are working with Samsung to have an approved Android 7.0 Nougat update to roll out to their Galaxy S7 customers shortly.
