The Game Developers Conference, which is the largest annual gathering of professional video game developers, usually focuses on an intense software. Nonetheless, this year's event appears to be shaping for PC hardware enthusiasts. Wherein, Nvidia and AMD will be holding an event on the very same day during GDC 2017.

The Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) will revive the Capsaicin event, which debuted at GDC 2016. AMD's Capsaicin Livestream features the hottest new graphics and VR technologies that propel the gaming world forward. AMD's event starts at 10:30 a.m. from Ruby Skye. Meanwhile, Nvidia is hosting a GeForce GTX Gaming Celebration that kicks off from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Nvidia's PC gaming event hints on some product announcements, according to PC World.

NVIDIA's GeForce GTX Gaming event during the GDC 2017 appears to be the unveiling of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The GTX 1080 Ti graphics card is expected to bridge the gap between the GTX 1080 and the Pascal Titan X. Although the Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti graphics card would be more powerful than its predecessor, but the graphics card is more affordable. According to Videocardz, the tech company already sent an invitation and the invitation says that the actual event kicks off at 7:00 PM.

On the other hand, AMD will utilize both Polaris GPUs and Vega with its Radeon RX 500 series graphics cards. The high-end Vega 10 GPU will feature a 4096 stream processors, up to 12.5 TFLOPs of performance, as well as an 8GB of HBM2. Vega is expected to be much more expensive compared to the GDDR5-based parts. The Vega 10 graphics card is speculated to have a launch price of $699.

Although the Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti graphics card may still trump the Vega GPUs, nonetheless, AMD could have more powerful models which are anticipated to have more value in terms of the price.
