Multiple reports from the upcoming musical crossover episode of "Supergirl" and "The Flash" indicate that Supergirl is getting a whole new costume. But the question is: could this hint on "The Flash" Season 3 spoilers, too?

Just a few days ago, HollywoodNorth.buzz tweeted a closer look on the set of "Supergirl" and "The Flash" upcoming episode that shows Joe West and Dr. Martin Stein talking.

Even more so, Leanne Aguilera earlier tweeted that Melissa Benoist, who plays Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, looked stunning in her new costume - although, there were no pics to show as of the moment.

According to ScreenCrush, it's worth noting that both Supergirl and The Flash don't have any significant costume changes yet.

That leads us back to last December, when "The Flash" lead actor Grant Gustin mentioned in a tweet that he felt a new costume for Barry is already past due. It can be recalled that during the show's winter finale, the God of Speed a.k.a. Savitar indicated some "The Flash" Season 3 spoilers such as his ominous prophecy for everyone on Team Flash and the possible appearance of "Future Flash" - one that would trap the present day Flash into the Speedforce. That being said, it actually makes sense for Grant to want a new costume for Barry if his character would have another speedster identity.

However, let's not forget about "Future Flash" indication from last year's "Invasion!" crossover event, where The Flash from 40 years ago warned the "Legends of Tomorrow" that he shouldn't be trusted. There's also "Out of Time" to consider, as seen on DC Comics, where Barry's power continue to falter. He will then travel back in time to stop this one event that "destroyed his life," in which he must defeat all the rogues wreaking havoc in that timeline. And for all we know, he won't be needing a new costume as the present-day Barry everyone knows and loves might turn out to be the God of Speed himself in the "future" - but that's another story.
