OUKITEL announced last week its upcoming smartphone that will feature the company's monumental 6-inch display, dubbed as OUKITEL U16 Max. During its announcement, the company marketed the smartphone's big battery, performance and screen size. Now, more details were revealed on the phone's key specs such as the camera and security suite.

OUKITEL unveiled that its working on a new smartphone, which will then be called the U16 Max. Previous reports suggest that the new handset will be packing a 6-inch display, which is the first for OUKITEL's smartphone portfolio.

According to MobiPicker, the smartphone is expected to incorporate the Low-Temperature Poly-Silicon (LTPS) technology in its screen display. The LTPS technology is engineered for enhanced transparency of the screen, responsible for brighter and sharper display and enhanced colors for users.

Furthermore, the 6-inch display of the U16 max will feature a full HD capability resulting to 720 x 1080p resolution, alongside 5-point multi-touch with 2.5D polishing. The screen material will carry the high-quality JDI screen imported from Japan.

Moving on to its camera, the OUKITEL U16 Max is expected to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera, which is listed as a Micron AR1335 sensor. Its front camera will pack a 5-megapixel sensor catered by OmniVision GC5005 sensor.

The company also expanded its cameras' functionality by equipping a micron-grade double axis lines print on the sensors, which integrates the latest LightScribe technology. The LightScribe tech offers "a more harmonious design with the rear camera and a more seamless back cover integration," Android Headlines noted.

OUKITEL will also be incorporating its own set of security features inside the U16 Max device. Putting on the most basic feature is a fingerprint sensor; however, the company has added other functionalities in its fingerprint sensor that promotes convenience for users. For example, users can single tap the phone's fingerprint sensor in order to play/pause media or return to their previous panel. Long-pressing the fingerprint sensor enables the users to capture photos or answer calls.

Details on the U16 Max's innards such as the processor and RAM options are still unknown, though the phone may boast an eight-core processor as promised by the phone's bigger performance. It is likely that the device will ship the Android 7.0 Nougat.
