What GPUs to Expect During E3 2017?

Since the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo is going to be public, expected participants are said to double the number of those who attended the event last 2016. According to Forbes, the initial batch of tickets which accounted to 15,000 have already been sold to the general public with price starting from $150 until February 13 and will go up to $250.

Accordingly, various exhibitors are expected in E3 such as Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and many others. However, the most anticipated ones are the popular graphics chips maker NVIDIA and AMD which are both expected to unveil GTX 1080 Ti and Vega Chips.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo will be taking place in LA Convention Center starting June 13 until June 15. It is an industry trade show for new unveiled games and consoles with 50,000 attendees for every year, according to GameSpot.

NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti vs AMD Vega Chips

This year is said to be the most controversial battle of GPUs since the AMD Vega Chips are expected to be more powerful than NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti in the sense that, it offers 1.5-1.6 GHz for 8GB or 16GB of HBM2 memory in two stacks with 4096 cores for its clockspeed. On the other hand, NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti offers 3328 processing cores and is composed of 12 billion transistors and 12GB of GDDR5X memory, according to PC Gamer.

However, GTX 1080 Ti is said to be fitter to deliver 4K games because of its Pascal architecture that is equipped with modified Titan X GP102 chips thus, resulted to impressive gaming performance. The GTX 1080 Ti is said to be the last one to use the said GPU architecture and has price ranging from $600 to $1200.
