Now that Alex Karev is back, Justin Chambers, who plays the character's role, is all set to give another season of twists and turns in DeLuca and Jo's life. Adding on, the actor also reveals what Alex would do now that Meredith Grey is suspended.

'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13, Episode 13: 'It Only Gets Much Worse'

ABC (via TV Maze) has released the official synopsis for "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, the 13th episode is titled "It Only Gets Much Worse". The episode description says: "The residents are excited for Eliza's next phase of teaching, but they spend the day caught between the warring attendings. Meanwhile, April has a challenging first day in her new role at the hospital."

In this episode, the highlight would April Kepner (Sarah Drew) and her temporary promotion. Things will not go well with her first day as the interim chief of general surgery.

In "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, episode 13 spoilers, April finds it hard get a hang of her new position as obviously, some of her colleagues and even some patients are against her. Things get complicated from then on and it is up to her how she will find a way to fill up Dr. Meredith Grey's job really well while the doctors, nurses, and patients are belittling her.

'Grey's Anatomy' Star Justin Chambers Talks Alex' Return

Meanwhile, when it comes to another character, it will not only April whos is under the radar of her fellow doctors but also Alex Karev. Chambers, who plays the role of Alex, talks his comeback and his possible fate in the show.

In his interview with Variety, Chambers reveals that after his fight with Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti), everything will feel both the same and different. Though the latter dropped his charges against his character, DeLuca will still give him cold shoulders.

Chambers noted that the reason behind DeLuca could be because of Jo or maybe he does not want to cause any problem at work. In addition to this, when asked about whether his relationship with the man will evolve after the incident, the actor thinks things would be awkward between them.

"I think he thinks they're okay again, but I believe that DeLuca is still giving him the cold shoulder," says Chamber.

Moreover, the actor teases that there may or may not work on a love triangle story arc between DeLuca, Jo (Camilla Luddington) and him.

On the other hand, as we all know, starting "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, episode 13 spoilers hints new problem for Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). However, Chambers hints a more solid relationship with the latter as a friend. The actor reveals that Alex will be there for the doctor anytime she needs him.

"He's definitely going to be supportive for her, like she was for him. They're definitely like two peas in a pod - they're like siblings," says Chambers.
