Racing cars have never been more fun since Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment's award-winning racing car game, "Project CARS," was released a few years ago. And now, the ultimate driver's journey continues with its sequel: "Project CARS 2."

"Project CARS 2" is described to have "captured the heart of racing" with features like VR and 12K support and its latest addition: an Online Championships mode. It is also described to be "built with Esports in mind," which explains the upcoming game's improved real-time features. According to the game's official website, "CARS 2" will have a LiveTrack 3.0 - where players can experience a seemingly realistic temperature, seasonal, and weather change as they race cars along their track choice.

Further detailed by TopGear, the upcoming game will also have the biggest selection of tracks - a never-before-seen in any console racing game. Aside from that, "CARS 2" is set to go way beyond expectations with its new roster of licensed vehicles from Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini. Even more so, game developer Slightly Mad Studios has added some of the latest motorsport vehicles from the real world - which includes Rallycross, Indycar, and Oval.

"Project CARS" was first released back in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It was originally set to be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox, 360, and Wii U, but was later announced that the game versions for the said consoles were canceled. On the other hand, it was the perfect contender for popular racing car games such as "Gran Turismo" and "Need For Speed" - going beyond expectations with real-time elements that make players feel like they are actually driving a racing car and competing with others for a championship cup.

"Project CARS 2" is set to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for PC this year.
